About Temporary Handicap Placards

Temporary placards are issued for 6 months and only issued to those who have a temporary disability. If necessary, placards may be renewed for an additional 6 months.

Placards may be used with any vehicle in which the handicapped person is a passenger, regardless of whether that person owns the vehicle.

How to Obtain a Temporary Handicap Placard

If you are unable to complete the application online, the form may be picked up at the Lincoln Park Police Department.

Ensure your doctor has signed the application in the doctor certification section of the form. 

Return the completed application to the Lincoln Park Police Department with a check or money order made out to "NJ Motor Vehicle Commission" in the amount of $4.00.
